Greenfield International School(Ecoventure): School Expedition

This week-long trip is designed to provide a perfect blend of teambuilding, community service, and adrenaline-pumping activities such as rafting, canyoning, rock climbing, abseiling, and also the cultural experience during sight seeing to the students of Greenfield International School. Let’s dive into the exciting details of this unforgettable adventure!

Day 1: Arrival in Nepal

Upon arriving in Nepal, students are greeted by the facilitators from The Last Resort and transferred to a hotel in Kathmandu. After settling into the hotel, they go out for dinner and they receive a briefing on the week’s activities and safety procedures.

Day 2: Teambuilding

Students are transferred to The Last Resort, nestled in the breathtaking Bhote Koshi River Valley. After settling into their home for the next 4 days, their day begins with dedicated teambuilding exercises, aimed at fostering cooperation, trust, and effective communication among the students. These activities are mainly outdoor and can include problem-solving challenges, and team-oriented initiatives. They end the day grooving in a well-choreographed dance sequence taught by a professional choreographer.

Day 3: Community Service Day 1

On this day, students engage in a community service project, collaborating with a local school for a cultural exchange between 2 schools coming from 2 different cultures.

Day 4: Adventure Day

This day is dedicated to three exciting activities: canyoning, rock climbing, abseiling. Students embark on a canyoning adventure, descending through narrow gorges and cascading 8 waterfalls using ropes and other specialized equipment. They also challenge themselves with rock climbing, and abseiling under the guidance of professional instructors.

Students also embark on an exhilarating rafting expedition along the Bhote Koshi River. Guided by experienced rafting instructors, participants navigate through thrilling rapids, enjoying the stunning natural beauty and the thrill of working together as a team.

Day 5: Community Service Day 2 and Sightseeing

Students bid farewell to The Last Resort

After a good paddling we end our rafting trip in a resort called Rafting Star in Sukute. We change into our dry clothes, freshen up and have our well-deserved lunch and head out for sightseeing in Bhaktapur which is about 2 hours drive towards Kathmandu.

Students have the chance to explore the cultural and historical wonders of Nepal during a sightseeing tour, visiting one of the iconic landmarks, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, where they eat authentic Newari entree and do a bit of souvenir shopping as well. Students are transferred to a hotel in Bhaktapur.

Day 6: Sightseeing and Departure to Dubai

After days filled with excitement and adventure, the week comes to an end. We make the most out of their last day in Nepal and go for yet another sightseeing in another iconic Landmark, Boudhanath Stupa. They roam around the place and do more souvenir shopping and have a scrumptious lunch together and get ready to go to the airport for their return, taking with them cherished memories, newfound friendships, and a sense of accomplishment. They return to Dubai with a deeper understanding of teamwork, resilience, and cultural diversity.
